Why Research College of Nursing?

Research College of Nursing gives you more than a set of letters after your name. Graduates from Research College of Nursing reflect the values and beliefs expressed in the Research College of Nursing Mission and Purpose.  An 8:1 student-faculty ratio fosters rich campus discussions and wide opportunities for student research.  The 2004/2005 fiscal reporting year (June to June), ranked Research College of Nursing second in the state with 20 BSN programs reporting, for a NCLEX pass rate of 95.51%.   Likewise the pass rate for 2005/2006 was 94.67%, 2006/2007 was 90.74%, and 2007/2008 was  91.85%. Our average NCLEX pass rate for the past four years was 93.19%. Professors and Assistant Professors, as opposed to graduate teaching assistants, teach the nursing courses.

Research College of Nursing is located in Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City, Mo., is home to five professional sports teams, fine shopping and dining, several theaters and movies, and many other attractions.

The College of Nursing is a small private college sponsored by Research Medical Center.  The Medical Center is one of several hospitals and health care facilities that compose HCA Midwest Division, a comprehensive regional health care system that are used as clinical sites. The College has access to current state of the art equipment because of this relationship. Classrooms, skills labs, computer labs and library are located in the Medical Center.

The College offers an undergraduate Bachelors of Science in Nursing in partnership with Rockhurst University. The BSN program offers two undergraduate options a Traditional BSN Option for the student without a college degree and an Accelerated BSN Option for the student with a previous non-nursing college degree.

The College offers a graduate Master of Science in Nursing degree. The MSN program offers three graduate tracks: Family Nurse Practitioner, Executive Nurse and Nurse Educator The Post-Master certificates offers two tracks. Executive Nurse and Nurse Educator.
