Offers various scholarships for current AANP members or student members enrolled in an accredited MSN-NP, post-MS NP or doctoral program.
American Association of Critical Care Nurses
Educational Advancement Scholarships
Available to AACN members who are RNs completing a baccalaureate or graduate degree in nursing. At least 20% of the awards will be allocated to qualified ethnic minority applicants.

For full-time undergraduate students; must be at least ¼-degree Indian blood and from a federally recognized tribe. Various other undergraduate and graduate scholarships are also available.

Nursing Scholarship Program
Available to full- or part-time nursing students enrolled or accepted into an accredited diploma, associate degree, baccalaureate or graduate program. Must be a U.S. citizen or national and commit to at least two years service at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses.
Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students
Undergraduate and graduate scholarships for full-time, financially needy students from disadvantaged backgrounds enrolled in nursing or health professions programs. Funds are awarded to participating schools, which select the scholarship recipients. Must be a U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident.
Indian Health Services
Health Professions Scholarship Program
Offers undergraduate and graduate nursing scholarships for full- and part-time American Indian and Alaska Native students who are members of a federally recognized tribe. Scholarships are available in the following nursing specialties: psychiatric, geriatric, women’s health, pediatrics, nurse anesthetist and nurse practitioner. Priority consideration will be given to RNs employed by the IHS, one of its contract programs or a program assisted under Title V of the Indian Health Care Improvement Act. Must agree to serve one year in an IHS facility or other health care program serving Indian people for each year of scholarship support. Pre-nursing scholarships are also available.

Nursing Service Scholarship
Open to Kansas residents accepted or enrolled in a Kansas nursing program as a full-time student. Must practice as an RN or LPN in Kansas upon graduation (one year for each year of scholarship support). Applicants must find a sponsoring health care facility to provide partial scholarship funding and full-time employment after licensure. KBOR also offers a general Ethnic Minority Scholarship (not specifically for nursing students).

National Black Nurses Association
NBNA Scholarship Program
Provides various scholarships open to African American nursing students currently enrolled in a BSN, ADN, diploma or LPN/LVN nursing program. Must be a member of NBNA and have at least one full year of school remaining.
National Coalition of Ethinic Minority Association
Aetna/NCEMNA Scholars Program
Open to ethnic minority BSN and master’s degree nursing students interested in pursuing research careers with a focus on eliminating minority health disparities. Must be a member of one of the five NCEMNA member associations: Asian American/Pacific Islander Nurses Association, National Alaska Native American Indian Nurses Association, National Association of Hispanic Nurses, National Black Nurses Association and Philippine Nurses Association of America. Scholarship recipients are nominated by their association.

NHSC Scholarships
For graduate-level nursing students enrolled or accepted into an accredited family nurse practitioner or nurse-midwifery program. Upon completion of their training, recipients must agree to serve in a health professional shortage area identified as having the greatest need (one year for each year of support received, with a two-year minimum commitment).

Tylenol Brand Scholarship Fund
Eligibility: Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate course of study in the fall of 2002 at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. This includes those students currently enrolled in an undergraduate course of study and who have one or more years of school remaining. Amount: This year's fund will total $250,000, including ten grants of $10,000 each and 150 grants of $1,000 each.
