Research College of Nursing believes in the value of student activities and organizations as a means to facilitate attainment of our Mission and Purposes for every student. Participation outside the classroom provides opportunities for students to learn and practice organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. The goal is for students to become better prepared to be active participants in a community of professionals and providers of service to society.
Our students have many opportunities for involvement outside the classroom. Student organizations and social and educational activities help students develop leadership skills and get to know other students and faculty. College committees and organizations provide a forum for students to express opinions and ideas about college governance, the curriculum and student life issues.
On the Rockhurst University campus, nursing students can participate in any number of extracurricular activities. Clubs and organizations focus on community service, social events, the arts, sports, recreation and many other areas. All students find something to broaden their horizons and add to their educational experience.
Student housing is available on both campuses, thus providing many options to meet student needs.
Research College of Nursing recognizes three organizations on campus:
Students may also develop new student organizations to meet the changing needs of the community.
