Gold Star Student Award
Have you seen a student whose everyday actions strengthen our community? Nominate someone who demonstrates hard work, kindness, or a positive impact. This recognition program celebrates those who go above and beyond to support their peers and elevate our learning environment. Each month, we review all nominations and select standout students from each cohort as our Gold Star Students of the Month, with their photo proudly displayed in the student lounge.
Raise the Bar
Have you witnessed a Research College of Nursing staff or faculty member going above and beyond? Help us recognize and celebrate those who raise the bar and make a meaningful impact on patients, colleagues, and our community.
Ripple Award
The Ripple Award recognizes a Research College of Nursing faculty member who did something (created a ripple) that made a difference in our College community.
“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples.”
— Mother Teresa
Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty
The DAISY Foundation created the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty to honor educators who elevate the nursing profession through their dedication to student learning and patient‑centered values. This national recognition program allows schools of nursing to celebrate faculty who demonstrate exceptional commitment, inspire future nurses, and contribute to a positive academic environment. The award acknowledges faculty whose influence, professionalism, and mentorship strengthen both student development and the broader nursing community.
Nominees must exemplify the qualities of an outstanding nursing educator, including serving as a role model and mentor, demonstrating enthusiasm for teaching and nursing, showing respect and genuine interest in learners, and using personal attributes — such as caring, integrity, patience, confidence, and flexibility — to support professional growth. They treat all students fairly, communicate effectively, and build strong, collaborative relationships with both students and colleagues.
