Through our EA(RN) it program, we guide students on their journey from Early Admit to a Bachelor’s-prepared registered nurse (RN). Learn how to gain early admission as a high school senior or college freshman and take the first step toward an impactful nursing career.
Most nursing school applicants apply in their sophomore year of college, but Early Admit offers eligible high school seniors and college freshmen the chance to secure their spot in Research College of Nursing’s (RCoN) Traditional BSN (TBSN) track ahead of time.
If you’ve already started taking pre-requisite courses, check out our TBSN page for more details on program eligibility.
Early Admission Requirements:
If you’re ready to take the next step toward nursing school, here’s what you need to know:
At Research College of Nursing (RCoN), there are multiple pathways to becoming a nurse—and you don’t need a CNA, LPN, or AND to begin earning your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Our BSN program opens doors to higher earning potential and career advancement, setting aspiring registered nurses (RNs) up for success. Students have the flexibility to complete their first 60 credit hours of pre-requisites at any regionally accredited college or university, often in two years at a community college, before transferring to RCoN for their final two years of nursing curriculum.
Graduates leave fully prepared to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam and become top candidates for competitive nursing roles. Plus, our admissions team is ready to assist with transfer credit questions, ensuring a smooth transition into your nursing education.
At RCoN, you’ll learn from exceptional faculty who serve as lifelong mentors and coaches, guiding you every step of the way. Our commitment to student success includes free academic support services designed to help you become a confident and skilled clinician.
Additionally, we proudly offer the region’s largest Dedicated Education Unit program, which pairs students one-on-one with a staff nurse for a hands-on, immersive clinical experience beyond traditional nursing school rotations.
