Accelerated BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

The Accelerated BSN program is designed for students who already hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree and are ready to transition into a nursing career. The application process can begin 12 to 18 months before the January start date, giving students time to complete any remaining prerequisites.

To be considered for admission, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with a C or better in all science courses, or a minimum GPA of 2.8 with a B- or better in Anatomy & Physiology. GPA may be based on the applicant’s entire academic record or calculated using transcripts from the last three years of college attendance, whichever is highest.

Admission Requirements

  • Cumulative college GPA of 3.0* or higher
  • Completion of all prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better
  • ATI TEAS® score at Proficient level or higher
  • Non–nursing bachelor’s degree
  • *Will accept a cumulative college GPA of 2.8, if it includes a grade of B– or better in Anatomy & Physiology

Conditional acceptance based on GPA and TEAS requirements

Applicants whose current cumulative GPA falls below the minimum threshold required for admission to the BSN program may be considered for conditional acceptance under the following circumstances:

  1. The applicant has additional prerequisite coursework remaining that, when completed, has the potential to raise the cumulative GPA to meet or exceed the required admissions threshold; and
  2. The applicant has achieved a TEAS score of 70% or higher, with the exam completed within 24 months of the intended program start date.

Applicants admitted under this policy must successfully complete all outstanding prerequisite courses and meet all stated conditions prior to the first day of classes.
