At Research College of Nursing, we remain diligent in our protection against coronavirus (COVID-19), and want to provide you with an update about the thoughtful and deliberate steps we’re taking to return to standard operations during this ever-evolving pandemic.
Over the past few months, our HCA partner facilities have maintained strict standards while following updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The precautions we’ve taken and the new protections put in place make our campus and clinical facilities among the safest possible places to receive healthcare education.
As always, the health and safety of our students, employees and communities is our top priority.
The fall semester at Research College of Nursing will resume on August 24, 2020 as planned.
Academic coursework will continue in an online format.
BSN and NP students should plan to remain in the Kansas City area for clinicals, labs, simulation and on-site testing. MSN students enrolled in the online NE and EPHL programs will receive additional guidance from your graduate faculty.
Out of safety precautions, “Fall Break” will be moved from October to November 23 – 27, 2020.
The College will be closed to all activities, academic courses, clinical and simulations for this entire week. Operations will resume, as scheduled, after the Thanksgiving break.
We have established enhanced protections throughout our college campus to create a safe environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Considering the unknown trajectory of viral illnesses in the fall, the calendar is subject to change. We appreciate your flexibility and consideration.
