At Research College of Nursing, the early admission admission is designed for students ready to pursue their passion for health care. It is a written letter of intent that allows high school students to secure their admission into a top-ranked nursing program.

Graduates earning the Bachelor of Science in nursing are eligible to apply to write the National Comprehensive Licensure Examination for registered nurses (NCLEX-RN), pending approval by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. Section 335.066, RSMo, of the Missouri Nursing Practice Act lists the reasons for which a person may be denied a license.
Upon passing the NCLEX-RN, the nurse is able to practice in the state where he/she applied for licensure. Nurses practice under the provisions of each state's nurse practice act.
Nursing students should be familiar with the Missouri Nursing Practice Act.
